Pastoral Search

Oaklawn Church is in search of a senior pastor.

Our hope is to find a pastor who can minister to both Spanish and English speakers in a bi-lingual setting who seeks to engage a diverse (racially, ethnically and socio-economically) neighborhood that reflects the changing dynamics of Houston.

We are nestled in the new and changing Second Ward of Houston, also known as East End. Houston is the 4th (and soon to be 3rd) largest city in the country. Oaklawn is located 10 minutes from downtown, 15 minutes from one of the largest medical centers in the world, and 5 minutes from the University of Houston (considered the most diverse university in the country with over 40,000 students).

There is a great opportunity to reach the city and world for Christ right in our backyard.  If you feel led to consider this unique opportunity, please contact Elder Gilberto Benitez or Elder Chris Ochoa.
